Roger Thompson (MA'94, BA'89/91) taught the civic ideals of President Kennedy and Atticus Finch at Kyung Hee University in South Korea for seven years and it was the top-ranked class in the programme. It even drew praise from Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, who gave him a copy of JFK's book Profiles In Courage. Now he is back in Canada and transitioning to a new career as an online tutor, and to aid him he has just been certified by Harvard University for an online course called We The People: Civic Engagement in a Constitutional Democracy. The course was taught by the renowned Professor Danielle Allen and his final grade was 95%. With this certification from an Ivy League school under his belt, he looks forward to starting his new career online.
